The Paradigm Connect100T Terminal for Global Xpress
A quick deploy and cost effective Global Xpress terminal
The Connect100T terminal is a medium-sized transportable Global Xpress certified solution designed to provide optimum performance on the GX network. It provides portability and straightforward setup for short term use in demanding environments. The one metre antenna with the Outdoor Paradigm Interface Module (PIM), the Paradigm Tri-Mount and transit cases can be deployed or installed in virtually any location that has a clear view to the satellite.
This quick deploy terminal assembles easily and will have you on the air and connected in 10 to 20 minutes - making phone calls, receiving data and transmitting your video. The Outdoor PIM includes One Touch Commissioning and guarantees easy pointing with its built-in visual crosshairs and audio feedback. The PIM visual crosshairs are supplemented with a GUI interface that provides a step-by-step guide with additional visual indicators of signal strength and other useful terminal information. Broadcasters, First Responders and Emergency Services, amongst others, will all benefit from the large bandwidth which Global Xpress and the Connect100T can provide. The entire system is supplied in transit cases for safe shipment and ease of deployment.
The Skyware ATOM 99 Ka-Band Flyaway Terminal for Global Xpress
This compact terminal is lightweight, rugged and quick to deploy and stow. The design is simple and robust for fast operation in tough environments. The dual-offset antenna with its 99cm reflector provides maximum efficiency and best possible radiation characteristics for improved data throughput and availability. It employs a segmented carbon fiber reflector that deploys quickly and accurately with no tools. The ATOM 99 is pending pre-approval for out-of-the-box compatibility with Inmarsat’s Global Xpress Commercial (29-30 GHz) Ka-Band network.
The integrated Ka transceiver houses a BUC, PLL LNB and all associated waveguide components in an IP sealed compact unit requiring no cooling fans. The manual mount provides means to adjust the antenna pointing angle and interfaces to the tripod by way of quick-release catch. The integrated modem module includes pointing assistance features to ease rapid satellite acquisition. The tripod is manufactured from aluminum with adjustable legs which provides a low profile and wide operational footprint while minimizing stowed length.

Traditional vehicle mounted 'Comms-On-The-Pause' VSAT antennas can lose connection to the satellite with even the slightest movement of the vehicle on its suspension caused by high winds or people getting in and out. EXPLORER 8100 isn't a traditional VSAT antenna.
With EXPLORER 8100 you can enjoy continuous connectivity services even if the vehicle rocks thanks to a new and unique 'Dynamic Pointing Correction' system. Using lessons learned from Cobham SATCOM's maritime stabilized VSAT antennas, EXPLORER 8100 offers the most reliable connectivity available in its class.
EXPLORER 8100 is developed completely in-house by Cobham SATCOM. It features genuine EXPLORER design, which is already established and proven with Cobham SATCOM's highly regarded EXPLORER BGAN and GX terminals.
It is designed to offer unparalleled Comms-On-The-Pause performance, ensuring high quality connectivity that is available even when other antennas would have lost their connection to the satellite. In the field, this means you can count on EXPLORER 8100 to provide you with vital communications whatever the conditions.
EXPLORER 8100 features industry-leading fast satellite acquisition with pointing achieved automatically in less than two minutes, making getting connected to a satellite a quick and easy process.
The system is available in both Ka- and Ku-band configurations and works with all major satellite networks. A swappable feed system allows users to change frequency bands, ensuring they have full choice of what services to use throughout the lifetime of the antenna.
EXPLORER 8100 comes with built-in Wi-Fi for easy access to the terminal and the same Web-based user-interface developed for Cobham SATCOM's cutting edge Inmarsat GX series of antennas.
Once connected, EXPLORER 8100 provides high performance, continuous connectivity in the field, optimally supporting high definition video streaming, high throughput data transfer and tactical and emergency communication.
